I have a stupid question that I'll call the Dr I hate tmw and ask for real, but interested if anyone has had the same thought.
So I'm on pregabalin nightly. It does the job the majority of the time and non-drug interventions help most of the breakthrough nights.
But maybe 2 nights a quarter, when I have tried literally every single tool in my arsenal and it's 2am and I get desperate-- How bad of an idea would it be to take some of the old gabapentin I have hanging around? F*ck the next day, I'd nd be fine with some fog/grog and not driving if I could only get my legs to stop!
The drug interactions checker basically says it's duplicate (duh) and would intensify the drowsiness etc? So not a dangerous idea?
I ask bc I don't want to just keep upping my pregabalin dose. I see this condition and drug and a marathon and I don't want to hit a ceiling too soon. So the idea of a supplemental prescription for emergencies came to mind. Does anyone have experience with this concept?
