Hi, former Mystic camper and counselor here (camper in 90s/counselor in 2000s). Have the State of Tx investigators or the Heaven’s 27 lawyers done interviews with the kitchen workers living above the commissary? I stayed up all night last night searching for info about the Polish workers, how many were in the rooms above the commissary, what they did from 4 am (when Dick’s car washed away) until 6:30 am when the sun came up. and if one camper was drowned inside the walls of Twins 2 (I’m so sorry if this is too intense, I genuinely mean this with all the respect in the world), did one of the Polish workers find her? When the workers were evacuated to Ingram finally, did Mystic coordinate their emergency care at all, or did Camp America (if that’s still the staffing agency they use) send a representative to collect the workers and manage their flights back to Europe? If they went back to Europe, are they receiving any compensation for mental health care or trauma counseling? I wonder what their contracts with Camp America listed in terms of disaster management. Are any US news outlets working on the Polish workers’ stories? I know the greater Mystic community is eager to know as well. Sending love to all.
