Hey, not looking for medical advice, just wanna hear from other cat parents.
Came home from work and saw my cat Ollie limping. No cuts or anything visible, he didn’t seem in a lot of pain but he couldn’t walk properly so we took him to the vet. X-ray showed three fractured bones in his foot, which honestly shocked us.
Thing is, he’s a fully indoor cat, so we have no idea how this even happened. Our house doesn’t have any tall surfaces he can fall from. The tallest is probably the fridge.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Can cats really hurt themselves this badly just from a bad jump or landing? And how do you even prevent this from happening again?
Would appreciate any shared experiences.
And for anyone wondering,
Yes. He is an orange cat.
