People leaving Shillong for Udaipur
Saw a post where I saw 2 people on linkdin saying these chose IIM udaipur over shillong and don't regret it. Are these 2 really comparable?

What I have personally observed is while a person joining a tier 1 or even tier 2 B school is likely to be smart but that doesn't make suddenly make him/her superior to the fellow Aspirants who didn't make it there because there's a certain amount of luck that can create stark difference in the outcome. Trust me guys there are lot of smart folks who don't join this competitive race at all that we are in. Stay humble, no need to look down on others. Everyone comes from a different socio-economic background & different phase in life due to which they make certain choices that doesn't mean they are inferior.
Give me range for each bracket of B school. Like for ABC Or BLACKI,FMS, XL, SPJIMR let's say 25 - 30L. For the lower tier 1 B schools like IIFT, MDI some X amount. For 1.5 like the NMIMS, SIBM, Shillong then JAP & CAP IIMs or the other comparable B schools. Also forgoing 2 years worth of earning is an opportunity cost you should consider ideally.

Talking especially about non engineering folks
So for the context I am earning around 7.5lpa in finance department (GL accounting). I have over 3 years of workex and have the option of joining a tier 2 MBA like new gen IIMs and a few comparable pvt B schools program. I am having 2nd thoughts because the ROI and job market conditions affecting these IIMs a lot? If yes what are my options since I am already on the higher side of workex? Or should I try for BLACKI next year which seems very uncertain given my repeated failure or take up Gmat and try for ISB, xlri and IIMs Ex. Mba? Also guys what are my options in terms of roles if any of you has any idea in these tier 2 colleges vs the Ex. Mba? My current career trajectory doesn't seem to be offering much of growth if I don't pursue an MBA, it's not like Tech where increments can be much higher.
