Hi guys. I am currently dealing with a very complex case over the span of 1 year. i was working hospitality. started having plantar fascitis. went to a podiatry after a month and had a insoles for the arch and heels. over 2 months, did not work, so i removed them, but it already elevated my arch i guess? so over time the knees started caving. tight when standing straight, and clicking when walking. when standing still, the knee cap feels loaded. if i lock my knees, the tendon is tight. and i feel like it's being pushed from the outer side. now the plantar fasciitis is getting better (depends if i aggrevate them or not), but my whole gait naturally feels wants to revert in this position.

My suspicion is either hoffa pad syndrome with patellar tendinopathy, but that is just from different AI prompts over the past one week. I would ofcourse not take any of their advice but merely cross checking to see what could be the underlying diagnosis.

Before working in hospitality, I was working in office while balancing running, powerlifting, surfing, and badminton, so I was highly active with no history of knee injuries. My question is, any good recs for physio that deals with complex knee cases? I live NOR. Thanks.

TL;DR: Looking for reputable physio who deals with complex knee cases NOR.

Hi guys! Hope everyone has been having a great time with their pursuit in quant roles. I have been reading about quantitative finance for the past 2 years and have gained huge interest in the role. Ironically enough, I have never heard of the career before!

For more context, I am a secondary math teacher with 10 years of Secondary Teaching experience. The past couple years I have garnered massive interest for Quantitative Finance, and I even sometimes encourage my students who are enthusiastic in Math to pursue it.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Math 10 years ago. I also have coding skills and quite proficient with coding in Python, R, HTML, and SQL. On top of that I did 3 actuarial exams from Probability Exam to Investment Exam (for fun) so I am well aware of Black Scholes and all those crazy math formulas. Lately I have also been having interest in getting my PhD in applied math. I am based in Seattle.

My question is, if I were to pivot in my current state, what are the chances that I would land a role some day, and what are the necessary requirements with my experience and skills in belt? Thanks for your inputs. Best of luck to everyone out there.
