My sister is 6. She was just diagnosed with Thalassemia Major. We are completely helpless please read.
I never thought I would be writing something like this. But here I am.
On 2nd May 2026, my little sister Vishakha — only 6 years old — was diagnosed with Thalassemia Major at CMC Vellore. It is a serious blood disorder, and the treatment she needs costs nearly ₹16 lakhs.
We live in Vellore, and our family was never financially strong to begin with. My father's entire income goes toward our household needs and our education fees — mine and my sister's. There is nothing left over. There are no savings. There is no backup.
I am her elder sister. I am 16 years old and I just finished my 10th class. I want to help my little sister in every way I possibly can, so I am posting here and asking for help — because that is what I can do right now.
Vishakha is only 6. Seeing her go through hospital visits and treatments at this age is something that breaks your heart completely.
I am asking with folded hands — if you can donate, please do. If you can share this post, please do. If you know of any organisation or scheme that helps children with Thalassemia, please tell me in the comments.
Medical reports and documents from CMC Vellore are available.
Please help us give Vishakha the childhood she deserves. Thank you for reading. 🙏
