So I’ve (37F) been bouncing around subs dealing with pre-cervical cancer & HPV, fibroids that ended up not being fibroids (it was adenomyosis), going through 2 GAWD AWFUL colposcopy procedures to figure out I had CIN1 abnormalities that will need to be monitored (if we had decided to keep the cervix, I still get to go do annuals to check for vaginal cancer but I’ll take that over cervix biopsies any day), and having heavy enough periods to be anemic… my OB has finally sent my orders to move forward with a total laparoscopic hysterectomy! This 1-2 week wait for the surgery scheduler to call me is brutal though. I am hoping to get scheduled sometime in June since I work at a public high school and we are out of office June 4th to July 13th! That would be ideal so I don’t have to miss much work!
All and all though, I’m just celebrating the win of being approved to go forward with surgery. My uterus has been nothing but a problem child since I had my youngest in 2017 and I am so ready to just yeet it right out the door. Any tips/tricks or must haves pre and post surgery would be great too! ☺️
