How do you pick up your boy when it’s running away?

Hey guys!

Today , i was handling my boy angel, when i just let him roam around a bit.

He started roaming way faster than usual, but I didn’t want to grab him from above while he was running away. What do you guys do in these situations?

I just got up , got on his way , layed down on the floor and made him crawl on my hand to pick him up.

Btw when I tried getting him on his enclosure after, he was walking backwards in my hand , like, “nope, i want to explore more” 🤣

(My girlfriend is still kinda scared of him so she freaked out for a moment 🤣🤣)

Someone was an Acrobat in his past life…..

Hey guys , just wanted to share my little guy’s stunts…. (He’s totally ok btw 🤣)

Don’t go hard on his setup, I just rescued Angel 3 weeks ago and I’m working on getting a 40 gallon setup for him 😁

Hey guys! Just came to share that Angel decided to climb into my hand for the first time! I’ve only had him for the last 3 weeks and he’s already fully settled and comfortable around us and guests (He even comes out of his hide to say hi to my friends everytime they come to my house 😁

Hey guys, so, I always wanted to have a gecko my whole life , and I met a guy that needed to get rid of his geckos’s , he had 12 or 13 and they all lived in 10 gallons tanks. So I decided to get at least one and see how I would handle having a gecko myself, and I took Angel home. He had an empty enclosure , close to 15 gallons and I took it as a starter. All his enclosures had heating cables which I already switched for a heat mat, and he used to have them in the snake substrate , which I changed for coconut fiber substrate. I’ll leave a couple of pictures and videos for you to see how it is now and help me make his enclosure the best I can. I plan on getting at least a 20 gallon and make it the best enclosure I can, but for now , help me make this 15 gallon safe and stimulating for him. Angel is very active now after two weeks, eating very good (8-10) mealworms every two days and I was even able to do a good cleaning and handling session yesterday. PS: Try not to go to hard on me, I just did a rescue of a gecko and I’m trying to provide everything I can for him, as a first time gecko owner! 😁
