best advice for undergraduates pursuing phd and/or Psy D programs?

I recently went back to school and really pursuing a career in Psychology and I'm looking to prepare and plan as much as possible to get into a graduate program.

I dropped out of school initially because I could not decide on a career for me. Because of this I dropped out with a 2.1 gpa.

Fast forward, I just finished my first semester back and found my calling for interests in counseling and research. I currently stand at a 2.5 and my overall plan is to finish with at least a 3.0 so I can continue my education for graduate programs.

For anyone who has experience in this, what is some of the best advice for undergraduate students in Psy who are looking to pursue careers in graduate programs?
