ASICS Sonic Blast 2 – midsole crumbling after 70km, is this normal?
Hey all, looking for some input from more experienced people in this sub.
I've been using the Sonic Blast for about 70km, mostly fast-paced road running (tempo runs, intervals). The outsole rubber is still in great shape, but the FF BLAST midsole foam in the heel area is already flaking and crumbling badly.
I know these are speed shoes and the foam is softer/more responsive, but 70km seems way too early for this kind of damage.
Has anyone experienced the same with this model? Is this a known issue with the Sonic Blast 2 or FF BLAST foam in general, or am I looking at a manufacturing defect?
