UME - MAR 14’

Great smoke, this one started off with some intense “twang” for about the first thirst along with a great floral through the nose. Second third was my least favorite as it was mostly woody, with some floral mixed in on occasion. Final third ramped up the twang and floral again for a solid finish.

First time trying the Don Carlos No.4.

Ended up having to move into the garage due to rain, so I wasn’t able to sit back and enjoy this cigar as much as I had hoped.

First cigar in a while where I could taste the sweetness from the wrapper on my lips throughout the entire smoke. This was a great start to the cigar and very happy it continued throughout.

First third was earthy with some leather along with the sweet spice. Very enjoyable.

Second third continues with the sweet spice and leather along with periodic citrus notes but I couldn’t really define what type of citrus I was tasting. At times I would also come across as a mineral citrus taste to me. Regardless, it was very enjoyable.

Final third continued with the spice and leather along with oaky cedar taste which became pretty “woody” for my liking even after purging.

All in, very enjoyable cigar and as I am not one to typically pick up Fuente when I look to have a cigar, this one is definitely having me reconsider and adding to the occasional rotation.
