I offer some kind of design services and I can clearly see when a business is losing money because of poor design- bad UX, weak branding, low-converting pages, the works. The gap is obvious. But the prospect doesn't see it and just keeps going as-is.
I've tried everything:
- Cold DMs on LinkedIn- personalised, goes into their profile and work in depth
- The classic "hi → conversation → pitch" approach
- Cold emails
- LinkedIn posts targeting the pain point
Response rates are still really low. Most people just don't respond or brush it off.
The core problem: I can see the gap, but I can't make the client feel it. They think what they have "works fine." They don't know what they're leaving on the table.
Has anyone cracked this? How do you bridge the gap between what you know they need and what they're willing to act on? Would love to hear what's actually worked for you- especially for creative/design services where the ROI isn't always immediately obvious to the buyer.
