I’m building LitDigest, a free research digest for people who are tired of checking a bunch of preprint feeds manually.
The basic idea: you describe your research focus in plain language, and LitDigest screens new papers across sources like arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv, EarthArXiv, and Preprints.org. Then it sends a weekly email with the papers that best match your interests.
I started building it because broad alerts are noisy, keyword alerts miss too much, and most researchers I know have some version of “I should be keeping up with the literature better” hanging over them.
A few details:
- It is free right now.
- It sends by email, not another dashboard to check.
- It is meant for specific research interests, not general science news.
- You can unsubscribe from any digest email.
I’d be grateful for feedback from researchers: does this solve a real pain for you, and what would make you trust or distrust a tool like this?
