My cat is scratching at bedroom door while my partner is sleeping
Me and my partner have a cat and live in a one bedroom apartment. We leave all the doors open at all times expect when my partner goes to bed, I stay up for a few more hours. The bedroom door is closed just for those few hours.
Normally my cat doesn’t have a problem with it but lately my cat has been dying to get in the bedroom and will tear up the carpet in front of the door. We put a scratching post in front of the door to try to deter the cat from taking it out on the carpet but it hasn’t helped.
I’ve thought about purchasing an air canister deterrent but I’m not sure if it will help and I have never used one before. Do you think this would help my situation? Is it effective to use when I only want the cat to stay away from the door at night and I would only put it out during that time? Any have one and have opinions on it?
