Hello, im new to growing peppers and gardening in general. I noticed this discoloring at the base of my jalapeño plant and the roots are covered in some fuzz. Is that a sign of rotting? When i moved the plant to its bigger pot and watered it i noticed the next day that the soil was still wet (pot has drain holes) and stayed wet for an additional 2 days. Top half of soil is dry now but i can see through the drain holes that the bottom half of soil is still wet so wondering if i watered to much and caused root rot? Any advice helps, thanks!
