Hi,

I'm considering applying for a PME in Primary Education with the aim to begin in September 2027. I've completed a level 8 degree, but got a C1 in ordinary Irish in my Leaving Cert and a C3 in ordinary maths.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about getting my maths and Irish to a good enough level to apply for the PME, and what qualifications I should be looking at getting? I'm aware there's a QQI level 5 course in mathematics that can work as an alternative option to the Leaving Cert grade.

For Irish I've heard the best option is to just repeat the Leaving Cert, but I'm not sure what the best route for re-learning Irish in the mean time is.
