So always had Returnal in my backlog, but with Saros coming out and sounding like it may be a heavy hitter for this year, I wanted to beat both by 2027 (in case it’s in discussion at the game awards, I’m a nerd). Finally caved and bought, and played for 3.3 hours in one (my first and si far only) loop: I beat Act 1 on my first loop, and let me tell you until I flash backed to Helios I was almost immediately disappointed in this game. It’s 3 AM so I’m going to bed, but holy shit did that fake make me so intrigued to come back to keep going.

Did anyone else have this experience and make it “far” in that first run and get faked out? I had a fucking blast and am so ready to come back
