Hi,

I’m applied for an F-1 visa (MS in CS). I have a 2 years gap after my bachelor’s with no formal job.

In DS-160, what should I select for primary Occupation ?
(Not Employed, student, Other, etc..)

And what kind of description is best - short or detailed?

I also had a previous 214(b) refusal in may 2025, so I want to get this right.
