Wanted to share a recent Custodes Shield Captain conversion I’ve been working on, using a Stormcast Lord-Veritant as the base model.

I always felt the silhouette, armor design, and overall presence of the model fit surprisingly well with the Custodes aesthetic, so I decided to lean into it and build a more knightly/templar-style captain for 40K.

I added several Custodes bits and reworked parts of the armor and weapons while trying to keep the model feeling grounded in the 40K universe and preserving the imposing look of the original sculpt.

Pretty happy with how it turned out, and I’d love to hear what you think. C&C welcome!

What if Inquisitor Greyfax and Aleya were a single miniature?

I’ve always loved both characters, so I decided to try something a bit heretical… by merging them into one model.

The goal wasn’t just to kitbash parts together, but to really capture that contrast:

• Greyfax’s authority and commanding presence within the Inquisition

• Aleya’s silent, precise, almost unsettling nature

The conversion itself is pretty straightforward:

• I swapped one arm for a Sisters of Silence arm

• Replaced Greyfax’s head with one that better matches Aleya’s look

Sometimes small changes make all the difference. I’m still working on the paint job, but I’m really happy with how the character is shaping up so far.
