I'm an incoming freshman at Northwestern and I originally had the idea that I could get my masters in chemical engineering in 4 years. I thought this could be very beneficial, and it was a big part in my decision to come to this school. I had looked at the AP credit charts to do the math to see what I had credit for already and determined that I would comfortably be able to get my masters in 4 years. HOWEVER,,, Since it's AP season, I was looking at the chart again today to check what I could get for my potential scores this time around and noticed that a 5 on AP Chem now only grants 1 unit of credit when previously it granted almost 4. I thought this must be a mistake in the chart since they just published the new chart. They have the last 10 years of AP charts and it has always been at or almost 4 units worth. Did they really cut the credit that much? If so, I might have a harder time reaching my goal. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you! here's the link to the ap credit table -> https://www.mccormick.northwestern.edu/academics/undergraduate/admissions/transfer-ap-ib-credits.html
