Deluxe hardcover editions of Dune volumes 4-6 from PRH

Some of you may be interested to know (I did not see it mentioned here) that Penguin Random House has finally committed to finishing out their series of deluxe hardcovers of Frank Herbert's Dune novels (illustrated endpapers, stained edges, etcetera). This box is due out November 3 for US$150 MSRP, and will probably be available online for under $100 if the first box set is any guide.

(I had been eyeing the Folio Society editions—since they've finally published God Emperor and I assume they're going to do the last two eventually—but now that this is a possibility I'm wondering if I really need an FS Dune set, at $115-$150 per volume.)

After emailing TBB customer service earlier this week, I heard back today about the Malazan 4-6 order I placed in March (that I haven't received even though the books were advertised as in stock). Apparently copies of The Bonehunters in the batch that went up for sale were discovered to be damaged and needed replacement. Those replacements have arrived in the warehouse and they're now waiting on the boxes. Once the boxes arrive they'll ship the books out.

So if there's going to be a quality control issue, it's better that it's caught when the books are in their hands rather than in mine. It would have taken a couple of months to resolve the problem either way.
