What can be? 1.5 dci CLIO III
Hello, I have a Renault Clio III 1.5 dCi (K9K768) with 306,000 km. I bought it at 300,000 km.
The engine runs very smoothly and seems to have been well maintained by the previous owner. At 303,000 km, I performed a full service (oil, filters, and added Ceratec).
The car does not burn oil and produces no smoke at all.
However, occasionally I notice a metallic-like noise coming from the engine. It doesn’t sound like a constant hard metallic knock, and it only happens sometimes, mainly at idle.
What’s strange is that when I listen directly on top of the engine, I don’t hear it much. But inside the car, the noise is more noticeable.
What could this be? Could it be the injectors, or something else?
