My 2012 Kia Soul is refusing to start after a botched oil change. To give some background, I took my car to a Take 5 Oil Change on the way back from a trip to visit my folks. It's a 100-mile trip, and I was getting close to 5,000 miles since my last service, so I thought it made sense to get a change before I headed home. I didn't notice anything off during the drive, but when I was driving to work a couple days later, I noticed a strange gasoline smell coming from somewhere around the car. When I got home that afternoon, I popped the hood and found that the guys at the oil change place left my oil filter cap off, and the engine bay was covered with oil. I wiped down any obvious pools of oil, topped it off with fresh oil, and replaced the cap, which was thankfully still in the engine bay. Everything seemed fine for a while, not counting the lingering oil smell, but after a week or so, the car refused to start one morning. The starter engages when I turn the key, and the engine cranks, but doesn't start. The starter simply continues cranking until the battery runs out of charge.

I've replaced the battery and the spark plugs, but there's been no change. Some posts I've found online seem to suggest that fuel might not be getting to the engine, which might indicate a clogged fuel filter or an obstruction somewhere else in the fuel system, but I thought I'd make a post here before I go tinkering with my fuel system.
