I’m a tech girly and I’ve been fiddling with the thought of building an AI skin analysis tool meant to help clients understand their skin and connect them to professionals. It would be super great to get your perspectives so it actually supports estheticians.
A few things that have been swirling around in my brain:
- If a client came in with an AI skin report, what would you want it to get right so it’s actually useful to you (+them)?
- What are the biggest mistakes AI would likely make from just a face scan/photo?
- Would something like this bringing clients to you feel helpful or harmful? Why?
- How should product recommendations be handled so they don’t step on your retail sales or professional guidance?
- Would you personally ever use something like this (for consults, tracking progress, etc.)? What would it need to do well?
- What would make you trust or immediately distrust a tool like this?
Really appreciate any honest thoughts (even if it’s a bad idea lol)!! And if there is anything you think I should consider that isn't on this list, please let me know as well!
