Hi everyone — I hope it’s okay to ask this here.
I’m a gay man and my husband’s sister is a trans woman in her late 30s. She transitioned in her early 20s and has built a really full life — great career, long-term partner, etc. Unfortunately, her parents reacted very badly at the time and are no longer in her life, though she and my husband have stayed close.

She doesn’t really talk about being trans outside of a very small circle (just the two of us), but recently she’s shared that she’s been feeling a lot of pain, isolation, and loneliness around it. She’s asked us for suggestions on finding help. We want to support her in a way that actually feels right for her, not push her into anything.

I’m wondering if anyone knows of active trans communities or support groups in London or Yorkshire — especially spaces that might feel comfortable for someone who’s more private and hasn’t been part of trans community spaces before.
Even general advice on what helped you (or didn’t) when you were feeling isolated would mean a lot.
Thanks so much for reading — I really appreciate any guidance.
