So I moved in with this girl and have been renting a room since February. I have no lease and she has been month to month ever since her year lease expired. I pay her directly and she pays the landlord. I got home from work today and she said the landlord's wife came to show the basement apartment we live in and was being really rude saying shes not required to give notice. We haven't received anything saying shes selling the house or looking for new tenants.
What, if any, are our rights in this situation? I don't want to come home from work one day and have the locks changed or something and lose my stuff.
We live in Ontario if that helps.
