Seeing the post match talk from Vettori and Cummins, it looked like all they want from batsmen is to attack no matter what. No mention of assessing the situation, or building a partnership.
Smaran who otherwise is a reliable batsmen went hitting right from the start. That tells me it has more to do with the coaching and the captain rather than the individual. If folks are being pushed against their own style of play, we're doomed.
Also, the dressing room environment seemed super low. Almost like a repeat of what we saw in 2025. Don't mean to judge Cummins after his first loss this season but the environment seemed much better after the earlier losses this season.
