We just launched Unforkd on Product Hunt today — Tinder for restaurants, built by two dads with zero funding
Hey r/sideprojects! Some of you may have seen my post a few weeks ago about building Unforkd. Today's the day — we're live on Product Hunt.
Quick recap of the journey: I had the idea in 2019, had zero coding experience, took a bootcamp in 2021, built a career as a web developer, taught myself React Native, and launched 4 weeks ago on iOS and Android. My buddy Troy came on to help with marketing and product decisions. Neither of us had native app experience — just figured it out as we went.
The concept is simple: everyone in your group swipes yes or no on nearby restaurants and Unforkd shows you where you all match. No accounts, no sign up, completely free.
We're two dads bootstrapping this with no outside funding and today is a big deal for us. Would mean everything to get some support from this community.
