I recently started noticing the paint getting removed from few small spots on the upper lid of my laptop and today this scratch (its not that noticeablein the photo but its there). I use it pretty safely and in normal condition.

Is this normal and what could be the cause??

also are there any tips to resolve this or how to prevent further scratches??
