I bought this 2020 Subaru Forester about two months ago. Everything was smooth and it drove wonderfully. Took it to my mechanic father-in-law and he said, after a basic inspection, said it looked great, that everything looked like it was well serviced before putting it up for sale.
The past couple of weeks, started having an occasional "clunk" sound on the passenger side, usually when turning or going over a bump. The sound isn't super consistent. Sometimes it clunks, sometimes it doesn't.
Googling seems to yield that I might need a replacement CV axle? Or that the lower control arm has potential damage near the sway bar link attachment point, which may require replacement?
We will get my father-in-law to take a look soon, but I wanted to check here first to be informed, and to also double check my thinking.
