Treasure Planet and Atlantis actually made me feel something, without the need for Kingdom Hearts...Why is that

So for context, I actually never really liked Disney or any of their movies except Atlantis as a kid, until i saw this specific picture in a kids magazine:

Picture attached is actually from KH 179 days (358/2 days) but kid me didnt know and all i saw was a disney logo, mickey mouse and dripped out dudes in it, which kid me absolutely loved but didnt get to play games until recently.

Which i was mind blown as a kid that this was disney, i loved this so much and when i grew up i found out that it was part of Kingdom Hearts, which i played.

I dont feel or connect with a lot of disney movies, even those ive watched as a kid or adult, until those themes are retold and presented through Kingdom Hearts, its really weird why i needed Kingdom Hearts for me to think the disney movie was cool. It's like thing vs thing, japan, i just dont feel anything watching the disney movies unless i experience them through kingdom hearts.

However there's an anomaly among disney movies that i watch as a kid which are Atlantis and Treasure Planet.

I specifically remember that out of all the disney movies my mom owns, I watched Atlantis on repeat the most, kid me just loved atlantis a lot (although my mom claims that during the days where my frontal lobe is still developing i loved little mermaid but honestly i really couldnt remember actually liking it, nor i like it now), and then there's treasure planet which sadly my parents dont own and i had to discover it myself (one of the scenes was used as an example for storyboard keyframe study) and i went on and do my research on the movie, watched it and ended up actually liking it.

Something about these 2 movies are just so good that whatever the movie is about dosent need Kingdom Hearts to retell me the story for me to appreciate it, which im still puzzled why do these 2 works just transcends needing KH to feed me the story, while what people considered "classics" just couldnt connect with me and needed Kingdom hearts to actually be the catalyst for me to appreciate them.

So lately i discovered an indie game called Distance where its basically a very high octane cyberpunk horror racing game where the scares come from certain obstacles appearing suddenly and the archaic as well, not to mention there's a 4 hour timer breathing down your neck that adds some suspense to the whole thing. Not sure if yall consider Distance horror but ive never seen anyone talking about this game on the sub, so figured i be the first one

So while i was analysing on how a sudden twist reveal works and how it dosent, it kinda led me back to Donbrothers, where i actually looked back into the episodes, including pointless ones. We know that there's one penguin Juuto, but we dont really know who it is. Then the Donkiller episode hits and we are given huge hints that Jiro and his village MIGHT be the Penguin Juuto, or so we thought UNTIL we got the penguin Juuto reveal where we found out that it's Jiro's Uncle that's the Penguin Juuto. I found it a more compelling reveal than Ace's mom reveal, but i didnt really know why until i looked back in the previous episodes, where with whatever information u had in the reveal recontextualizes all the previous episodes and it's imho one of the strongest points in Donbrothers writing, and i really hope that it has more of this, although i loved the final product.
