Second-guessing my ACL reconstruction
Hey everyone, I’m a 26-year-old male who tore my ACL during Muay Thai sparring. The short story is that I landed incorrectly and completely severed my ACL without any meniscus damage. Fast forward five months, and I’ve been doing great rehab while my ACL surgery is scheduled for the next few months. My leg is almost back to its full size, and I’ve been hitting the bag, light sparring, and jogging. I feel 85% back to normal, with little to no episodes of giving way. I’d love to hear from people who held off on surgery for a long time but ultimately decided to go ahead. What made you make that decision? Do you regret it? Do you wish you had gotten it done sooner?
Thank you in advance!
