I live in East Germany and therefore came into contact with old GDR films very early on. Now I enjoy watching international films, such as those from the Soviet Union, 10 Days That Shook the World, Lenin in Paris, or also Soy Cuba, Battle of Algiers, and similar films. There are also some films about Mao on YouTube with English subtitles. Recently, I found some Vietnamese films featuring Uncle Ho, and I'm very interested in watching them and learning more about how people from Vietnam portray this period of the American war and what aspects of Uncle Ho's teachings are being passed on to younger generations through film and culture. Unfortunately, these films don't have English subtitles, so I thought this might be a good opportunity to find someone here who speaks Vietnamese and could help make these films accessible to an international audience.
