NEO2D - AES+ Reshell
I LOVE my Analogue 3D, was such a beautifully crafted design and a great modernisation on retro gaming.
So, with all the excitement around the AES+, I decided to do a bit of crafting myself this weekend and did my own version of the AES+, heavily influenced by the A3D, so when it finally arrives in November, I can properly adjust the back plate to fit the USB-C, HDMI and 9 Pin, and sort out however they’ve fitted the PCB.
This has currently been modelled around the original board, and whacked out a few quick renders to show how it’s looking. Going to give it a test print some time this week to see how it sits next to the A3D, but need to sort out some of the more finicky details and engraving (as the bottom plate and front face doesn’t have any (apart from the Memory Card extrusion).
Did a few colour ways for fun, but I just want it in clean white for now.
EDIT: I’m not trying to replace the original, I have the original and yes, it’s always going to be the OG. This exercise is just to make something in a similar light to the A3D, because I personally love the design and thought they’d look great next to one another.
