Question about S2 E34

I've recently rewatched Apocetary Diaries for X time and while watching 'A ghost story' just now, I suddenly wondered if it was every cleared up whether the court lady holding the story telling event was actually a ghost or just another court lady who dressed up as her. From what I understood, according to Hongniang the organizer actually died the year before. From Yinghua's reaction however it seemed to be the same court lady. If I understood correctly that is. So I'm just curious, I haven't read the manga or light novel so I was wondering if there's any information about it in these.
