As apocalyptic as the job market is. As impossible as it is to get a job. That is actually the easy part.

Maintaining a job is the true challenge.

That is because perfection is not the standard that we should all aspire to be. Perfection is the bare minimum. Being perfect at your job, being perfect in the macarbe social game of thrones that is office politics. All it takes is one error to be cast out as a pariah and be replaced.

I am now on my sixth accounting job and as much as I have tried to achieve perfection, beating them in all of the rigged games that my evil coworkers have thrown at me, they finally stumped me. Long story short, a journal entry got posted at the wrong time, which resulted in a variance. Thankfully, it got fixed. That may not seem like a big deal, but somebody like me does not have the luxury to fail. Personally, I blame this on my lack of sleep as I did not get any sleep that night and have been living on one to four hours each night for the past four months.

It also does not help that my coworkers, including my head manager do not like me. Prior to that, I have pretty much been perfect at my job.

Now, I have learned today that they hired an intern. I know what means as that is what happened at my third accounting job. They are going to replace me.

I clocked out one minute earlier than I am supposed to on my lunch and now it looks like I am going to get fired for it. So what are some of the craziest or pettiest reasons you have ever seen someone get fired for?
