So my first shift was yesterday and i did my ride along, i was driving and delivering. I was first wave, so by noon, my legs and arms started hurting. So getting in and out of the van was getting more difficult. By 5pm my knees and ankles wanted to give out. By 6:30pm i asked my trainer to help me deliver the package and they did help me. We were back at the station by 7:30pm. I really enjoy the job. But is there anything, tips, tricks, advice or insight on what i could do to help? My thighs, hips, arms, back and shoulders all hurt.
I use to work in an FC. So I expect all of this. I knew the job wasnt as easy as everyone thinks it is, but its worth it in the long wrong.
For clarification the nursery route was 148 stops, and from what i was told, my original route was given to a more experienced driver. So i was given the older drivers route.
