Hey all

I am an international student who recently moved to the US. I am travelling to my home country for summer for 2 months and wanted to sublet my place. I have takers but I am unsure if it is safe to do so since I don't know them personally. I am being cautioned that subletees refuse to leave the apartment and they are protected by law. I am not sure what to do. What checks can I have to ensure that they stay for the stipulated time?
