I had the part “don’t leave, don’t leave her” stuck in my head for days and eventually a song idea came out of it. The pre-chorus has similar words and melody as that part, but the song as a whole ended up being a starkly different vibe. love how it turned out!
I see people on social media talking shit about us being bandwagon fans because they’re suddenly seeing a ton of ducks flags on cars only now that we’re in the playoffs, but like, that’s what they are meant for lol at least that’s always been the impression I’ve been under. Maybe I’m wrong.
Players have so much respect for him (not just our players too, players were interested in signing here specifically to play for him) and he seems to be such a genuine dude who knows how to form and maintain positive relationships with players and staff around him. Its easy to stay quiet when something bad is happening especially when you weren’t involved. Its hard to speak up and put yourself at risk of retaliation. It was a dumb mistake he made in the past, but no one can convince me that he isn’t a genuinely good dude and that he isn’t genuinely remorseful for not speaking up. I think we are very lucky to have him and I don’t think the continued amount of genuine hate he gets from people is justified. He paid his dues, people should move on and let him move on.
