I’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive offers for LSE Econs and SMU Law (still waiting on NUS) but I can’t decide which to accept.
Pros of NUS/SMU Law:
- Stable path, just need to get FCH or second upper to get a good job
- Cheaper than LSE Econs which is 300k
- More AI proof???
Pros of LSE Econs:
- Overseas experience and much higher earnings ceiling although I question if I can even reach that ceiling
- Able to make connections with a much broader group of people to widen my perspective
- Target school for IB (not sure if I even want to go into IB because of the hours)
- Better exit options out of IB and overall more flexibility
- Don’t have to deal with the billable hours bullshit for the rest of my life
Thank you to anyone who can share advice. I’m mainly worried about the economy and whether I can find a job as an Econ grad whereas for law employment is much more stable.
