Hi!

Just wondering about offers.

I was made an offer from Nottingham uni + Exeter uni for Mechanical Engineering my firm and insurance.

Nottingham’s original website offer for the MEng course is A*AA, but they gave me an offer of AAB contextual for MEng

Exeter original website offer was AAB, but they reduced it to BBB for contextual.

I know people always say there is leniency come results day, and for example if you miss your offer grade in a non essential subject they are still likely to let you in, so if your offer was A*AA with A*in maths and you ended up getting A*AB with the b in something practically irrelevant like business studies on results day (unless you are doing oxbridge )it’s highly likely the uni will still let you in.

Is this sort of leniency still applied for contextual offers? Because since the original offer would have been from Nottingham A*AA, if I missed my contextual offer of AAB by a grade in a non essential subject would they still allow for ABB because it is so much extra lower than the typical A*AA acceptance grades?

I am currently on track to get my predicted which is A*AA but I am just interested to see what the consequences would be if it all goes pear shaped in my exams…
