Yesterday, my Hedonites opponent charged with Slaangor Fiendbloods (who do not have the Strike First ability) on my royal dragon, which was next to and in combat range of part of a unit of cryptguard.
He purposefully set 3 Fiendbloods away from the dragon, in coherency with his unit, to then pile in into my cryptguard, and claimed that this made me unable to use the Elite Guardians rule because the combat action of the Fiendbloods had started with the pile-in and therefore could not be interrupted with an enemy action anymore.
So I could not use Elite Guardians 😄

Was that legit and why ?
I know I might have to be redirected to core action activation rules and this is slightly more general than relevant to this sub but I think it could be interesting to have your opinion on how I should dispose cryptguard.

Is it possible to combine the following in the same phase, or the same turn ?
Since power through allows you to finish the move in combat, in the end of your enemies tuen you could theoretically fly across the enemy unit with power through for 1CP and deal D3 damage, then use predator knights, deal D3 damage again and get to an objective
