Need some advice. I went to the dealership and took the car for a test drive—honestly, for its age, it’s in great shape. It has just over 111K miles. There’s some underbody rust, but it’s pretty minimal. The Carfax goes all the way back to 2008 and looks solid overall, and the timing belt has already been replaced.

I’m pre-qualified through a credit union for up to $11K, which is right around what they’re asking. I could also put down about $3K–$4K.

My only hesitation is whether it’s actually worth it. The Carfax does show one reported incident with damage, but I didn’t notice anything concerning when I looked it over.

What do you think?
