Successful 2nd ER after cyst trigger
**Background (**Tubal factor, mild MFI)
We got 3 euploids from our first IVF/ICSI cycle and decided to do another ER for the possibility of a second child.
I was supposed to start baseline for ER #2, but ended up having an anovulatory cycle. After 10 days of birth control, repeat baseline showed a 2.5 cm E2 producing simple cyst (possibly related to already dysynchronous follicles at first baseline).
Since delaying the cycle wasn’t an option, my clinic triggered the cyst and converted it into a mid-luteal start and the cycle ended up being successful.
Protocol (mid luteal phase stim)
Day 1-7 Gonal-F/Menopur, Day 8-11 Gonal-F/Menopur/Cetrotide, Day 12 Cetrotide/Lupron trigger, Day 14 Egg retrieval.
Result (6 euploid)
AFC 16 > Eggs retrieved 18 > Mature eggs 14 > Fertilized (ICSI) 12 > Blastocysts 8 (Day 5: 1, Day 6: 7) > PGT-A Euploid 6 (Day 5: 3AA, Day 6: 6AA x 4, 6AB)
I was really worried about triggering the cyst at first, so I searched this sub a lot for similar experiences. Thankfully, the results ended up being even better than my first ER. Wishing everyone good results and lots of luck. 🍀
