I think Sheila may be Gon's mom, and this is my theory. I stand with the theory that Sheila could've been the "S" in Greed Island, and her and Ging may have met at some point. It is possible that she and Gon have similar cheery expressions, and they both explore like Ging. I could be wrong, and what do you guys think?
