I'm a girls' lacrosse mom in MD, and I recently built out girlslacrosseclubs.com — a free searchable directory of girls lacrosse camps and clubs organized by state (check out the camp guide specifically). Think of it like a Yelp for girls lax.
It's still growing — I'm adding camps every week — but camp season is coming up fast and I figured it's better to share it now than wait until it's "perfect."
Would love feedback from this community. What info matters most to you when picking a camp? Anything missing that would make this more useful?
Backstory if you're curious: A few years ago I didn't know anything about the sport beyond the elementary rec games I watched. When my kids started moving up from rec, I tried finding info on clubs and it was rough — word of mouth (not always balanced or reliable), inconsistent and outdated websites, nothing centralized. You're basically just googling and hoping someone's Instagram is updated with tryout dates. The last two summers we started looking beyond the local high school camp, and I realized there's nothing centralized for finding camps either. I would have loved a reliable list to start from, so I used my AI/tech background to put this together.
