Hello guys! Im a newbie to drawing in general, and I set my sights on drawing a manga with a friend, based on my light novel.
He could handle drawing everything himself, not exactly in the perfect same style I imagined , but he has many years of experience behind him.
Meanwhile, I’m a total beginner. I barely drew in my years of existence, and I got the hang of 1 point perspectives and light body drawing (shapes such as torso, pelvis, joints to connect hands) - and my point, is it shameful/unethical to use 3d models in programs such as clip studio paint, until I completely get the hang of drawing everything by hand?
I feel like mangakas don’t use them as they have a heavy drawing background behind them and…yeah, I was overthinking it up to the point where I started studying perspectives and anatomy for 8+ hrs/day 😅

I’m done with the first 2 volumes of my light novel, and so I decided to start drawing a “manga adaptation” of it - this was my best attempt at depicting one of the female characters present in the work.
1st picture is the female character presented in detail from the 2nd picture
2nd picture is the actual first page that I will redraw digitally (and more professionally) for the manga 🤗
Can I get some honest opinions? Is my style really fitting? I have a background of realist drawings so this was a first for me, lol.

Is it good enough in your opinion? I personally like it very much - just wanted to share this with you and ask for some advice since I’m new to drawing manga style , i mainly did realistic drawings up until now.
