Hi all! I just started taking Berberine two weeks ago. Started out with 500mg once a day at dinner to try and avoid stomach upset. I took one later last night, and decided to try and up it to two a day starting today. Took another one later this morning. A few hours later...my face has swollen up a bit. Nothing horrible, but I can feel it and see it slightly. My doctor has mentioned that I may be a "poor metaboliser" of medication before. Has anyone had this happen to them? I was hoping to go up to two a day, but may be stuck at 500mg a day. Is this from it building up in my system? Thank you in advance for any info!
