Building an AI companion out of Bangalore for when you need to talk, but the consequences of sharing are too high. Dropping my MVP today.

Hey folks, building out of Namma Bengaluru here.

You know that heavy, empty feeling when you desperately need to vent or share something deeply personal, but you just... hold back? You stop yourself because you're worried about the consequences—the fear of judgment, changing how people see you, or just feeling like you're burdening your friends and family.

Sure, you could just open ChatGPT or any other mainstream LLM to vent. But those models are fundamentally designed to solve problems, not to listen. If you tell them you're feeling lost or overwhelmed, they immediately spit out a 5-step bulleted list on how to fix your life.

Sometimes you don't want to be fixed. You just want to be heard.

That specific, isolating feeling is exactly why I left my corporate job earlier this year to start building Two Eleven under my agency, Smriti Labs. I just dropped the early MVP today.

I wanted to build a genuine companion that provides a 100% consequence-free space to just talk. It focuses entirely on emotional connection and actually remembers the context of your life long-term, without trying to give you productivity hacks.

I’d really appreciate it if you guys could test out the flow.

When you interact with it, does it feel like a safe space? Does it actually feel like it's listening, or does it still feel a bit too much like a standard AI? Brutal feedback on the UX and the overall vibe is incredibly welcome.

P.S. If anyone building in the AI space is around HSR or Koramangala and wants to grab a coffee to talk tech or co-founding, hit my DMs!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to build a genuine companion that provides a 100% consequence-free space to just talk. It focuses entirely on emotional connection and actually remembers the context of your life long-term, without trying to give you productivity hacks.

Here is a quick look at how I’m building it:

  • The Tech: The frontend is Next.js, running on a Firebase and Google Cloud backend.
  • The Engine: I’m using a setup specifically tuned for conversational empathy and persistent memory. It’s designed to feel like someone who actually listens and understands, rather than a bot trying to act like a life coach.
  • The Design: When you're feeling overwhelmed, the last thing you need is a cluttered screen. I went with a very minimalist, Apple-esque vibe. Clean gradients, zero noise, and just a calming space so the focus stays entirely on getting your thoughts out.

I’d really appreciate it if you guys could test out the flow.

AI companions suck because they have no memory. I tried to fix that. Feedback wanted!

Hey guys,

Just dropped the early version of Two Eleven, an AI companion built by my R&D agency, Smriti Labs.

Instead of focusing on "productivity," Two Eleven is hyper-focused on emotional connection and persistent memory. I’m at the pre-seed stage right now, but before I start talking to investors, I need to know if the core loop actually works for real users.

Seeking brutal feedback on:

  • UI/UX: Is the minimalist, clean style working for you?
  • Retention: Does the AI feel empathetic enough that you'd actually talk to it every day?
  • Bugs: Hit me with the worst of it.

Check it out here: https://getsmriti.app

I'm also open to connecting with potential co-founders who are passionate about building emotionally intelligent AI. Let me know what you think!
