For example, modern humans struggle with teeth overcrowding because our jaws have gotten smaller.

That means humans are designed to have our old, bigger jaws, right?

So why would evolution make our jaws smaller? When I look it up I'm told "because with modern, softer, processed food we don't need bigger jaws".

But evolution doesn't know if we need something or not, I thought it's survival of the fittest?

Same with arms, we used to have longer arms with stronger muscles but we downgraded because "we don't need them anymore"?
